It
is difficult to give testimony of things that don’t happen….that
should give you a little laugh and comment, “really”. When
we pray in advance against anything and it doesn’t happen, we have no
witness or fruit to our stand on that issue. We just rejoice and thank God!
"Rebuking spirits" is unknown to many, especially in advance of
what we think the devil may do--the Holy Spirit and experience has taught
us the value of both, in our lives. We share these examples with
humility, and appreciation to a faithful Father!
Our
prayers are not based in superstition or fear, but in faith based in our
relationship with the Almighty. For
those things we have seen and experienced we offer the following.
-
Driving with a friend, through an area of Phoenix, California, Shirl saw
another car going through the intersection and at the same time a fifth
wheeler also heading that way. Impossible to stop the accident,
Shirl and her friend began to pray. Shirl bound the spirit of
accident, injury and death, and pulled to the curb and rushed to the
scene. She could not help the young woman out of the car, so she
told her she was going to pray for her, to trust God and she would be
fine. The young woman told Shirl that she was pregnant and asked for
prayer for the baby. Shirl blessed them both, commanded no permanent
injury, no bleeding, no broken bones, no whip lash, no back or head
injuries, etc. (everything she could think of that might happen) all in
the name of Jesus. The officials arrived and whisked mother and baby
off to the hospital. The next day Shirl stopped by to
see how they were doing. Both, mother and baby were doing well and
doctors were amazed and stated that she should have been killed in that
accident. God is soooo faithful!!!

A similar event happened to Carol. After taking a family member to
the airport, Carol thought about going down to the ocean (5 minutes away),
to read and just enjoy the Lord’s beautiful work. Something
inside said “no” go on toward home. Earlier that morning when Carol
left her home
she prayed, “Father, I pray the blood of Jesus over this car for
holy use, the angels of heaven around it for protection (actually the
blood is a protection as well), and then commands no accident, injury or
death to come near her, in Jesus Name.” As she started
home from the airport two lanes right of her car she saw one car side swipe another car.
The driver of the car closest to the side of road pulled the wheel sharply
and the car jerked, and flipped over three times onto the shoulder.
As Carol saw this she began to bind the spirit of death and commanded no
permanent damage. She quickly pulled to the side of the road, ran
back to the accident. The car was mashed, and upside down—looked
pretty awful. Several other people had stopped and were around the
car. Carol had started praying against everything she could think
of—no broken bones, no bleeding, no back injuries, no whip lash, no head
injury, no permanent injuries of any kind, and kept thanking Jesus for the
mercy and grace of God. The man on the passenger side of car was
able to crawl out of the window. He seemed to be OK. The fire
department and ambulance came, and the driver, a young woman, came up out
of the car, with help, and walked to the ambulance. Absolutely amazing!!!

Nine years ago Carol was working in her kitchen on a Sunday afternoon.
She heard a very small voice say, “Go to Colorado, July 4th.”
She smiled and thought it must be some little devil teasing her. She
and her husband Willie had planned a trip to Colorado in October, and this
seemed totally unreal. However, when she heard the same thing about
6 more times in the next couple of days—her husband said, “That must
be the Lord, you’d
better go.” She called the airlines and to her delight there was a
July 4th special and the round trip was only $150. Still
wondering why she was going, Carol thought about her son, his wife and
children in Colorado on the flight to the area. It was July 2nd.
On July 4th her daughter-in-law began to have labor pains—five and ½
months into the pregnancy. They rushed her to the hospital.
Then Carol knew why she was there. She had just learned to rebuke the
spirits of death and anything else that came against the children of God
that would not be allowed in heaven. She shared the knowledge with
her son and they began to seek the Lord for help, blessings, healing,
strength, etc. and then confronted the enemy. They said
“no”, absolutely no premature birth, no death, no miscarriage, no
damage to mother or child, no birth defects, etc. In a couple of
days she came home, but was told she must stay in bed until delivery.
Carol stayed a few days to help and then flew home. On the flight
the Holy Spirit spoke to her heart, “The baby will not go full term.”
Carol replied, “Thank you Lord. I pray right now that baby
will be perfect in every way when he is born, and no weapon formed against
him will prosper. Thank you Lord. You are so gracious.”
Carol continued to pray and thank God. The baby was a few weeks
early, but he was perfect and still is. A couple of years later another
baby was expected and the same thing started at 5 ½ months. They
went into prayer, and the same result came in the way of a perfect little
girl. Praise God!!

Shirl and a friend went to her parents home a few year ago for
Thanksgiving. Her parents were keeping an eye on their neighbors
property, especially their dogs, as their friends were out of town.
Suddenly as they were sitting down to dinner they heard a terrible noise
from the yard next door. They all ran outside. As they
looked over the fence, they saw a vicious dog fight. Shirl without
thinking walked into the yard and commanded the dogs to stop in the name
of Jesus. She bound the spirits of violence and continued speaking
to them. She told her brother to come in and take one of dogs out of
the yard—which he did with fear and trepidation. Shirl slowly
backed out of the yard. When she realized what she had done, fear
swept over her, but gratitude took it’s place, as she thanked God for
his protection and the authority Jesus gave us over the forces of
darkness. WOW!

A friend, (whose name I will not use to protect the innocent), has remained in a
less than perfect marriage. There are times when her husband loses his
temper and becomes very angry. She loves praise music and enjoys prayer,
seeking God on behalf of her husband and their marriage. When she learned
to stand against the enemy, not her husband, she found more peace and it was
easier to forgive and love him. Rebuking demon forces and the their
effects does wonders. When she forgets to do spiritual warfare every
morning things become very intense. Twice in the last two years, he threatened to kill her--got right up in her face
with angry threats. She looked him right in the eyes and said, "I
bind you spirits in the Name of Jesus. you'll do nothing of the kind, now
sit down." Both times he did just that. She thanked God and
removed herself from the situation. She would not recommend that any woman
or man stay in a abusive situation. If she had it to do over, she would
not have stayed--knowing that she could have loved and prayed for him from
another location. Since she has walked through this, and learned so much
faith in our Lord to protect her, and the angels of heaven to do warfare in her
behalf, she has managed to handle the situation. The point of her
testimony is--that relationship with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit, and faith in
the Word of God will give you the authority and anointing to stand against the
forces of darkness, that may be working, even in a loved one.
Powerful!!!

The same friend has learned to pray over her car the blood of Jesus, asking for
angels to protect and do warfare, and then forbid spirits of accident or injury,
or death. She and her husband own a motor home and a boat. She would
faithfully do this when they left their property. They took the motor home
and boat to the marina and set them up for the weekend. Saturday night my
friend went home so she could go to church on Sunday. When she pulled out
of the driveway Sunday morning, a small voice said you need to pray for your
motor home, and she flippantly said, "Oh, I did that yesterday." and
went on to church. That morning the motor home was broken
into, valuable items stolen, and vandalized. A serious lesson!

While doing missionary work in China my son, Patrick said he had many occasions
to pray for protection, and to ask God to blind the eyes of the guards checking the border
crossing. God was so faithful to protect him and others like him. He
said that sometimes the guards would look right at the bibles and not
"see" them. What an awesome God!

Many years ago one of my sons made a very bad decision in a business
deal. Soon after that while he was in another country, claims were
made on him for a great deal of money. Some very tough appearing men, here
in the United States, contacted his brother demanding the money. His
brother was concerned but could not meet their demands. In a visit with me
he shared the dilemma. That night I could not sleep and got up and
walked the floor, praying. Suddenly, I realized what I should do, and I
thanked the Lord for my son, and His protection, in Jesus Name. Then I confronted
the evil spirits and said, "Devil, I demand that you take your hands off of
my son, I have a promise for him in Acts 2:38, 39. He may have to answer
for the decisions he has made, but you will not steal from him, rob or destroy
him. I break your assignment on him, with the blood of Jesus. The
Grace of God is greater than his sins and you will not harm him. I demand
you loose him and let him go, in Jesus Name." I went to bed and
slept very well. No more threats were made, and although he did have to face
a difficult situation, the Lord saw him through it, and delivered him out
it. Thank you, Jesus!

Once, after giving a talk to a group of women, the Holy Spirit spoke to my
heart, "There is a woman in the back of the room with a blue dress.
Tell her to pray protection for her husband, now." I did and she
did. Several days later I received a call telling me a sad but wonderful
story about the woman in blue. What did not happen to her husband.
He worked in the personnel department of a big company, and at the time his wife
was praying for him, he was called out of the office to another place in the
building. While he was gone a man came into the office with a gun and
killed the other men there. Sad story as it is so painful to think of such
useless waste of life. Wonderful, as a faithful God provided
protection. Do we listen for the voice of God? Would we believe it,
if we heard it? I pray, Lord we will!
