Additional Suggestions:
It is difficult to give a
“model” prayer because it is so personal and there are so many
variables in the lives of all of us.
However, the following are sample prayers to give some insight that
you may use with the blessing and leading of the Holy Spirit, according to
your personal needs:
“Heavenly
Father, I come to you with honor, love and respect for you as the
sovereign God of all mankind. I trust and believe in you, in Jesus and in the Holy Spirit,
knowing you love us more than I can possibly comprehend.
According to your will expressed through your son, I come to you,
asking that you would send Angels to protect my home and my family.
That they would do spiritual warfare on our behalf, minister and
strengthen. I ask that you
rebuke the devil and his plans on our behalf.
I ask forgiveness for our sins and help us to quickly forgive the
sins of others. I pray the
blood of Jesus over all my family for cleansing, healing and deliverance
from evil. I thank You, I praise and love You, in Jesus Name, Amen!”
That
is a very generic prayer that needs to have specific needs outlined such
as protection in the work place, in school, on the highway, in a plane,
train or bus, shopping, church, etc.
Confronting
the enemy:
“With the authority given me in Luke 10:19, I speak to you
demons, evil ones. I forbid
any spirits of anger, resentment, murder, suicide or death—any violence
of any kind to come near me or my family.
We are covered with the blood of Jesus and the destroyer may not
harm us. I break every
assignment on us and command it to be of no effect because of the blood of
Jesus and the Word that says Jesus has overcome the world.
I demand the will of God be done in our lives as it is in heaven. I speak this in Jesus Name!”
Many times I also tell him, the
devil, the demons that the Grace of God is greater than any of our sins,
that Jesus paid the price for us, and he will not kill, steal or destroy
my family, or whomever..

Many Christians pray for
protection—many in a very generic way.
Experience has proven the more specific the prayer the more
powerful the results. Ahhhh,
but doesn’t God know our prayers before we ask them?
Yes, Matthew 6:8 confirms that.
However, Paul tells us in Ephesians 3:10 that we in the church are
to reveal the wisdom of God unto the principalities and powers in heavenly
places. And, Jesus tells us
if we have faith and doubt not we can “say” unto the mountain,
be thou removed, and cast into the sea and it will be done.
Speaking to our situations, with faith, in the Name of Jesus, with
the “Word” of God, (as often as possible), according
to the will of God will move mountains, what ever they may be.
There
are many promises in the Bible, (such as Luke 10:19) and it has been my
experience that none are automatic. We
need to pray for them, believe Jesus to be the Son of God, and receive
them. A strong personal
relationship with Jesus is “boot camp” for the soldier in the army of
God. However, the newest
“believer” can say “no” to the devil with authority and power.
The Grace and Mercy of God are so
awesome we can declare those wonders to the enemy as a frontal attack
against his efforts, a bazooka so to speak.
It is impossible to think of everything or cover everything that
can happen, but we can always trust the Lord for things we do pray, and
know that He will see us through a situation or bring us out of it.
It is our urgent prayer that we continue to learn, grow in faith, and say
"no" to the enemy. |
